![]() Chemical peelingAcne, oily skin, expanded pores, ageing skin, pigmentationChemical peeling is a method for rejuvenating the skin consisting of the application of a solution containing active chemicals, performed by a doctor. This method has undergone a significant renaissance in recent years. It was used by Queen Cleopatra in Ancient Egypt. It is a controlled process of removing dead skin cells resulting in an improved appearance for the skin. Using chemical peeling we can achieve the removal of ageing skin, reduced acne, an evening out of the colour of the skin, reduction in wrinkles and minor acne scarring, reduction in pore size and improved skin hydration and elasticity. The most usual areas for treatment are the face, neck, chest, back and backs of the hands. 4 to 6 treatments are usually applied over a period of one to two weeks. The skin is pink to red for 1 or 2 days following the procedure; this is followed by a necessary mild peeling of the skin, which can be covered by make-up. The depth of the treatment should be agreed with the doctor. Chemical peeling is most often performed with glycolic, salicylic and kojic acids. Before peeling is done, a preparatory cream is applied to ensure greater effectiveness of subsequent peelings. Prices – chemical peeling
